Thousands of fans have already cast their votes on the first coupling of the initial ten participants, which will be revealed in the glossy series premiere hosted by Maya Jama.

This twist to the format was introduced for the summer series in 2022 and went down a storm, with Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu eventually winning the competition.

It's too late to vote on the series opener now, but there will be plenty more opportunities to influence the show in the coming weeks, so check out the details on Love Island voting below to make sure you can have your say.

How to vote on Love Island 2023

You can cast your first vote of the season by downloading the Love Island app, which is available for Apple and Android devices, and then heading to the voting section.

Users with the iOS app will be prompted to authenticate their device using Apple ID in order to be able to vote. You will only have to do this once per device and you will not be charged. Authentication is done solely to enable you to be able to vote. This will occur automatically for those with the Android version of the app.

Voting for the initial couples will close on Friday 2nd June at 9pm, but it certainly won’t be the only time you’ll be able to have your say during the upcoming season.

Fans are typically given the chance to support their favourite couples, or weigh in on which matches are the most and least compatible, throughout each series, with the public vote sometimes deciding which islanders are sent home from the villa.

Viewers will be informed when voting will take place during the episodes. Voting events will start automatically and will appear at the bottom of the app screen.

The vote will be opened for a period of time, with the closing time specified on screen. If you're watching on catch-up, the vote may have already closed, so be mindful of this.

You’ll only be able to vote once per voting event per eligible device, unless otherwise specified. Voting via the app is free.

And if you change your mind on a vote, not to worry! On any given vote you are given the option to confirm or cancel your selection at the end. Once you have confirmed your vote, you cannot cancel or change it.
